Close up of advanced dental technology in Plano

Patients shouldn’t have to fear the dentist’s office because of the equipment and devices that are used. This heightened level of anxiety can make it harder for patients to seek professional care. Fortunately, at Plexus Dental of Plano, our dentists believe in an environment that promotes comfort, safety, and superior results. This is why our Plano dental team uses some of the most innovative and modernized dental technologies in-house.

Intraoral Cameras

Images of teeth on laptop captured by intraoral camera

The handheld device we use to take images of your teeth and gums is called an intraoral camera. Complete with a small camera on the tip, it makes it easier for our dentists to show you what they see when examining your mouth. From the educational component of this device to the high-resolution imaging that clearly shows what kind of problems may exist on or between teeth, we consider this technology invaluable for long-term oral health.

All-Digital X-Rays

Using soft tissue laser to treat gums

Decay and damage do not only occur above the gumline, but they can also affect the area unseen by the naked eye. This is why we use all-digital X-rays. These safer devices allow us to quickly capture images of your teeth, gums, and bite so that you, too, can clearly see what is happening beneath the gumline. Our dentists can then review the scans and make more accurate diagnoses.

Soft Tissue Laser

Laser dentistry is part of Plexus Dental of Plano’s technological solutions because of how well it addresses diseased gum tissue. Our dentists can use the soft tissue laser to quickly target harmful bacteria so that it doesn’t spread or cause additional harm to other areas of the mouth. The laser’s concentrated beam of light does not radiate heat, sound, or vibration, so you can expect to remain at ease during these procedures.
